Before your appointment, exfoliate gently 24–48 hours prior and ensure hair is about 1/4 inch long. Avoid retinoids, heavy sun exposure, and alcohol-based products the day of. Wear loose clothing and arrive with clean, dry skin for best results.
Some clients feel brief discomfort, especially the first time, but it’s usually quick. Our estheticians use techniques and numbing options to minimize pain. Taking an over-the-counter pain reliever beforehand and breathing deeply during the service can help.
Most clients enjoy smooth stomach skin for three to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth and hormones. Regular waxing can gradually reduce regrowth and make hair finer. Schedule follow-ups every four to six weeks for consistent results.
If your skin is sensitive or currently irritated, our estheticians will assess it during consultation and may perform a patch test. We avoid waxing sunburned, broken, or inflamed skin and may recommend postponing until the area has healed.
After waxing, avoid hot baths, saunas, tanning, and intense exercise for 24–48 hours. Apply soothing, fragrance-free aloe or cooling lotion and avoid exfoliation for two days. After 48 hours, gently exfoliate regularly to prevent ingrown hairs.
Waxing is generally safe during pregnancy and postpartum, but hormones can increase sensitivity. Inform your esthetician and consult your healthcare provider if unsure. Many clients wait until after the first trimester; we use gentle techniques and perform a patch test if needed.
