Get answers to common questions about Lip.
Most clients report brief, mild discomfort during lip waxing; the quick removal from root means pain typically lasts seconds to a few minutes. We use gentle wax and calming techniques; applying a cool compress and soothing balm afterward greatly reduces sensitivity and redness.
Results usually last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and aftercare. Regular waxing can slow regrowth and soften hair. We advise scheduling appointments every four to six weeks to maintain consistently smooth lip area.
If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin, we recommend a brief consultation and patch test first. Some conditions or active breakouts may be contraindications; alternatives and gentle options can be discussed to avoid irritation or infection.
Before your appointment, let hair grow at least a quarter-inch so wax can grip. Avoid recent exfoliation, retinoids, or sunburn; cleanse skin and skip heavy makeup. Arrive relaxed; we offer numbing options on request for added comfort.
Apply a calming gel or aloe-based balm immediately and avoid hot showers, saunas, and makeup for 24 hours. Refrain from exfoliation for 48–72 hours and use sunscreen to protect skin and prevent irritation.
Contraindications include active cold sores, sunburn, open wounds, recent chemical peels, or use of strong topical retinoids. If you take blood thinners, have diabetes, or recent dermal fillers, consult with our therapists before booking to ensure safety.
