What the spray does
A topical numbing spray is applied to the skin area before sugaring or waxing to reduce surface sensation during the hair-removal step. It targets the outer skin’s nerve endings to give temporary relief from sensitivity, but it does not guarantee a completely sensation-free treatment and individual responses vary.
How well it works depends on each person’s baseline sensitivity and recent skin condition. People with irritated, broken, or recently treated skin may notice limited benefit. Tell your technician about recent sun exposure, topical treatments, or skin reactions so they can help set realistic expectations.
How we use it
At Spa Apsara the spray is added directly to the treatment area by your technician as an add-on to a sugaring or waxing service. The spray requires 10 additional minutes to your appointment, so it’s scheduled into the service time rather than used at the last minute.
Before application your technician will review your skin and ask about allergies, recent skin procedures, and current medications that could affect skin sensitivity. If there’s any concern, they will recommend alternatives or decline the add-on to protect your skin.
Scheduling and local context
In Fircrest and the surrounding neighborhoods we schedule appointments with commuters and families in mind, so the spray’s 10-minute addition is accounted for in booking. Many clients pair numbing spray with morning, evening, or weekend appointments to fit work and family routines near SR-16, Chambers Bay, or Bridgeport Way.
The add-on is available to clients from Fircrest, Tacoma, University Place, Lakewood, Steilacoom and Parkland who want reduced surface sensitivity during hair removal. The service is offered for a fee of $15 and is easy to include when you book your sugaring or waxing.
