Get answers to common questions about Vagacial.
A Vagacial is an intimate-area facial that deep-cleanses, steams, and exfoliates to treat acne, ingrown hairs, and discoloration. Technicians perform gentle peels, extractions, a targeted mask, and hydration while maintaining privacy and comfort throughout the treatment.
Most clients report minimal discomfort. We use steam, topical numbing options when appropriate, and gentle techniques to reduce pain. Technicians proceed slowly and communicate throughout; any significant discomfort is addressed immediately to ensure client safety and comfort.
Avoid exfoliating treatments, retinoids, or waxing for three to five days before your appointment. Shave carefully the day prior if needed. Arrive clean and skip creams or oils. Inform your technician of medications, allergies, or recent procedures.
Many clients notice improvement after a single session, but a series (typically 3–6) spaced two to four weeks apart yields more lasting results for acne, ingrowns, and hyperpigmentation. Your technician will recommend a personalized plan based on skin condition.
Yes, with precautions. We assess skin sensitivity and avoid aggressive peels or extractions on freshly waxed or irritated skin. If you've waxed within 48–72 hours, we may reschedule. Treatments are customized to minimize irritation and promote healing.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy sweating, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Use gentle, fragrance-free cleansers and soothing ointments recommended by your therapist. Exfoliation and waxing should be postponed as advised. Apply SPF if treated area will be sun-exposed.
